Oscar has originated, won and led various design projects for both top 10 global MedTech companies and multi-million dollar funded start-ups developing revolutionary new technologies for medical wearables and home based monitoring systems.
Working hand-in-hand with internal engineering groups, he has led all aspects of the Industrial Design, Packaging, IFU design and UX/UI design for connected apps - carefully crafting the patient experience and maximising usability. He places a particular focus on balancing technical requirements with user needs, ensuring that the final product doesn't just function effectively, but is also comfortable to wear, simple to use, and easy to live with.
The effectiveness of his and his team's work has been proven time and time again through formative and summative usability studies, some of which he has managed on behalf of clients.
Notable projects include a connected digital goniometer for post-operative recovery (below), a maternal monitoring system, a wearable brain imaging device, wound-care, an insulin delivery system, and more.
