Oscar has personally designed, and led teams in the design of, various diagnostic devices including large human-size units, benchtop machines and portable, handheld products patients can use at home.
These projects typically have complex technical requirements, need to be easy-to-use for both new and experienced users, and work seamlessly in high-pressure working environments, making great design all the more important in delivering a product that professionals trust.
He has seen projects all the way from early stage concept innovation through to batch production of working units for testing, and has deep experience of low volume production processes.
Close collaboration between multi-disciplinary design, engineering and commercial teams is often a critical component to the success of these projects. In these situations, Oscar is able to communicate clearly and align multiple stakeholders around a single vision - while keeping the needs of the user at the heart of every conversation.
